Tokyo DisneySea in a Day
Autumn 2026, when the 25th anniversary meets Halloween: Fantasy Springs in the morning, the harbour shows at night
Published
Take the Disney Resort Line from Maihama to Tokyo DisneySea, and buy paid priority entry in the app the moment you are in.
The new Fantasy Springs in the morning, the volcano’s surroundings after lunch, the American Waterfront at dusk,
then the harbour shows, the 25th-anniversary projections and the Halloween fireworks. Written for the rules in force in October 2026.
Assumptions, and how the plan works
This plan is one example built on the operating information for Sunday 18 October 2026 (9:00–21:00). Tokyo DisneySea turns 25 in 2026 and is celebrating with “Sparkling Jubilee” from 15 April 2026 to 31 March 2027; in October, Halloween overlaps with it.
Three ideas shaped it:
- Fantasy Springs first thing — the new port opened in 2024 at the far west of the park. Paid priority entry (DPA) for its most popular ride, Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey, sells out early. Buy it the moment you are in and head straight to the back of the park
- Build around the harbour shows — Mediterranean Harbor at the centre hosts a 25th-anniversary show by day, and Believe! Sea of Dreams and fireworks at night. The afternoon fits around those times
- Plan for October’s closures — Tower of Terror and Indiana Jones Adventure are closed during this period, so that time goes to other headline rides and shows
The five ports, in map order:
| No. | Port | What you do there |
|---|---|---|
| ① | Mediterranean Harbor | The harbour by the entrance: the anniversary show, Soaring, night shows and fireworks |
| ② | Fantasy Springs | Peter Pan, Rapunzel, Tinker Bell, Anna and Elsa |
| ③ | Lost River Delta | Raging Spirits, the Hangar Stage show |
| ④ | Mysterious Island | Journey to the Center of the Earth |
| ⑤ | American Waterfront | Dance the Globe!, Toy Story Mania! |
The day, hour by hour
Leave Tokyo Station on the 7:07 Keiyo Line, at Maihama by 7:22. Change to the monorail, queue until the 9:00 opening, stay until closing, and take the 21:31 from Maihama, back at Tokyo at 21:48. Ride waits vary hugely with the day’s crowds, so treat the times as a guide.

Tickets and budget
Park tickets are date-specific and sold online only, and the price varies by date. Prices rose for visits from 10 October 2026: an adult 1-Day Passport now costs ¥8,400–12,400. In October, Tokyo DisneySea costs ¥10,900 on weekdays, ¥11,900–12,400 on Sundays and ¥12,400 on Saturdays (except 3 October).
| Item | Per adult | Notes |
|---|---|---|

Ticket types (junior and child prices, After 3 and After 5 Passports) are the same as at Tokyo Disneyland; see the Disneyland post. Children aged three and under go free.
DPA and the app: what is different at DisneySea
The app basics (DPA, Standby Pass, Entry Request, Mobile Order) work as at Disneyland. What matters most at DisneySea is the DPA price list and how Fantasy Springs works.
| Attraction | DPA price |
|---|---|
| Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey | ¥2,500 |
| Soaring: Fantastic Flight | ¥2,500 |
| Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival | ¥2,000 |
| Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure | ¥2,000 |
| Toy Story Mania! | ¥2,000 |
| Journey to the Center of the Earth | ¥2,000 |
| Raging Spirits | ¥1,500 (since September 2026) |
| Tower of Terror | ¥1,500 (closed until 5 November) |
| Indiana Jones Adventure | ¥1,500 (from 30 November) |
- Anyone can enter Fantasy Springs — at first, entering the port needed DPA or a Standby Pass, but since April 2025 anyone in the park can walk in. For the rides, queue as normal or buy DPA
- DPA one at a time, after entry — you cannot buy before opening or from outside the park. After one purchase, the next becomes available after 60 minutes or at your ride’s start time, whichever is sooner
- Shows have DPA too — Believe!, Dreams Take Flight and Dance the Globe! offer reserved viewing for ¥2,500. Dreams Take Flight also takes free Entry Requests (a lottery)
Morning: the monorail to opening
Maihama is 15 minutes from Tokyo Station on the Keiyo Line. Just outside the south exit, take the Disney Resort Line from Resort Gateway Station; Tokyo DisneySea Station is about ten minutes away. The monorail’s windows are shaped like Mickey’s head, which sets the mood straight away.
On holidays, long queues form at the entrance well before opening. The earlier you get in, the better the Anna and Elsa DPA time you can buy, and the more of Fantasy Springs you can do while it is quiet. The first hour sets up the rest of your day.
- Monorail fares — ¥300 a ride (IC cards accepted); a 1-day pass costs ¥700 if you will ride several times
- Or walk — Maihama Station to the Tokyo DisneySea entrance is about 20 minutes on foot
② Fantasy Springs
Once inside, buy DPA for Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey in the app as you walk. Pass the globe fountain, AquaSphere, and go under Hotel MiraCosta, and the harbour and volcano open up before you. From here, follow the harbour to Fantasy Springs at the far end of the park.
Fantasy Springs opened on 6 June 2024 as Tokyo DisneySea’s eighth themed port. Three areas, led by a magical spring, bring to life the worlds of Frozen, Tangled and Peter Pan, and every ride feels like stepping into the film.
- Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure — a 3D ride that feels like flying over Never Land. Waits grow quickly, so go first
- Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival — a boat ride through the story’s highlights to a night lake full of floating lanterns
- Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies — a gentle ride through Pixie Hollow that small children can enjoy. No DPA
- Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey — a boat ride through Arendelle’s story, set to the famous songs. Go at your DPA time
For lunch, try the restaurants in Fantasy Springs or next door in Lost River Delta. Set a pickup time with Mobile Order and skip the queue.
③④ Lost River Delta and Mysterious Island
After lunch, head to Lost River Delta, a Central American jungle riverside. Raging Spirits is a proper coaster with a full loop, set in an archaeological dig. It has been on DPA (¥1,500) since September.
The Hangar Stage here hosts Dreams Take Flight (about 25 minutes), a song-and-dance show in which Mickey and friends work together to finish building an aeroplane. Enter the Entry Request lottery in the app.
Lost River Delta’s Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull is closed from 18 August 2025 to 29 November 2026.
Next, step into the volcano’s caldera at Mysterious Island, set as Captain Nemo’s secret base. Now and then the volcano lets off steam.
- Journey to the Center of the Earth — a subterranean vehicle carries you toward the centre of the Earth and finally bursts out of the volcano’s side. It is very popular, so DPA (¥2,000) is the safe choice
① The 25th-anniversary show and Soaring
At 15:00, back at the harbour, catch the Sparkling Jubilee Celebration (about 15 minutes). Mickey and friends, in special 25th-anniversary costumes, arrive by boat and count up to 25 with the crowd: a show made for the anniversary.
Tokyo DisneySea opened on 4 September 2001. Sparkling Jubilee celebrates its 25th anniversary from 15 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. Its theme colour, “jubilee blue”, runs through the harbour decorations and show costumes.
After the show, head to Soaring: Fantastic Flight by the harbour, a flying-machine journey over famous sights around the world.
⑤ American Waterfront
In the late afternoon, move to the American Waterfront, modelled on early-20th-century New York and a New England fishing village. The great liner S.S. Columbia is moored in the harbour.
- Dance the Globe! (16:45) — at Waterfront Park, dances from around the world, with characters in 25th-anniversary costumes (about 25 minutes)
- Toy Story Mania! — put on 3D glasses and compete for points in toy-themed shooting games. DPA ¥2,000
- Cape Cod — a quiet corner of village houses and a lighthouse. A good place to rest your legs
The area’s landmark, Tower of Terror, is closed from 28 September to 5 November 2026. Its exterior is impressive enough from outside.
① Night: harbour shows and fireworks
After dinner, head to Mediterranean Harbor. At 19:30, Believe! Sea of Dreams uses the whole harbour as a stage, telling Disney stories with ships, water, light and projections.
Where you stand on the shore makes a big difference to harbour shows. For a head-on view, reserved DPA viewing (¥2,500) is the sure option. If you watch standing, pick your spot early and keep cameras below head height.
At 20:15 and 20:55 comes the anniversary’s Sparkling Jubilee Night, with projections on the walls of Hotel MiraCosta. And at 20:30, the Halloween fireworks, Night High Halloween (about five minutes). The regular fireworks, Sky Full of Colors, are paused during Halloween (15 September–31 October).
After the 21:00 closing, the monorail and Maihama Station get busy. On the way back it is just one stop from Tokyo DisneySea Station to Resort Gateway Station.
Adjusting on the day
| If… | Then… |
|---|---|
| You want to spend less | Buy DPA for Anna and Elsa only, and queue for the rest in the quieter morning and evening. Weekday tickets are also about ¥1,000 cheaper |
| You love thrill rides | Tower of Terror reopens from 6 November and Indiana Jones from 30 November; pair them with Raging Spirits and Center of the Earth |
| You have small children | Focus on Tinker Bell in Fantasy Springs and the indoor area of Mermaid Lagoon. Mermaid Lagoon Theater has been closed since 2020 |
| You want to dress up | Full costumes are allowed 16–31 October 2026 (and 15–30 September). Nothing that covers the face, no floor-length trains, no replica weapons |
| It rains | Stick to indoor rides and the Hangar Stage show. Harbour shows may be cancelled or changed |
| You go after October | Halloween ends on 31 October; the 25th anniversary runs until 31 March 2027 |
Before you go
- Check closures — in October 2026, Tower of Terror (28 Sep–5 Nov), Indiana Jones Adventure (until 29 Nov), the DisneySea Transit Steamer Line from Mediterranean Harbor (4 Aug–30 Nov) and Mermaid Lagoon Theater are closed
- Tickets and the app — buy online in advance, sign in to the app and link everyone’s tickets
- A power bank — DPA, Mobile Order and wait times keep your phone busy all day
- Photos and what to bring — no monopods, tripods or selfie sticks. Sweets, children’s snacks, flasks and bottled drinks (no alcohol) may be brought in
- Sea breeze — the park faces the sea, and October evenings can feel chilly. Bring a layer if you are staying for the night shows
- Check the day before — show times, closures and DPA rides and prices can change. This guide uses official information as of 3 October 2026
